Washington Nationals Uniform History
The Montreal Expos moved to Washington for the 2005 season. The original cap design was a block W, however under pressure from MLB the Nationals went with a logo almost identical to the late 1960's Washington Senators.

Inaugural season patch worn on home jersey, DC patch with team name on road jersey.

Red alternate added with another cap. DC sleeve patch debuts on all jerseys. Cool Base jerseys debut at home in 2006, alternates and road in 2007.

2009-10
Majestic
Road jersey logo changed to underlined script. Red alternate logo changed to "W". Sleeve patch changed on home, road, red jerseys. Navy alternate used for patriotic occasions home or road joins the set. Red "DC" cap dropped. Alternate cap changes to navy with red/white/blue "DC" logo.
Road accent colors (undershirts, socks) change from navy to red.
2011-2015
Gold is dropped from the color scheme on all jerseys. Home jersey logo changes to "W" and piping is added. Sleeve trim moved to end of sleeve. Navy jersey gets darker and logo also changes to "W". "W" sleeve patch replaces "DC". Red jersey becomes main alternate. Red bill added to navy "W" cap.

New red cap with navy bill is worn with the red alternate jersey home and road in 2013.
10th anniversary sleeve patch worn in 2015.
2016
Flex Base jerseys debut. Navy alternate used at home only.

Patriotic home alternate jersey changes to white from navy.
