Montreal Expos Uniform History
MLB expanded to Canada in 1969 with the Montreal Expos. The team was named after the highly successful Expo 67 world's fair. The team introduced a revolutionary tri-color cap that would change styles forever, as many teams started using different front panel colors on their caps in the 1970's. The logo is a stylized "M" with a red lowercase "e" on the left side (for Expos) and a blue lowercase "b" on the right (for Baseball). The team relocated to Washington after the 2004 season.
