1900-05
White home, grey road, blue collar. White or blue cap with "P" logo.
Only blue caps from 1901.
1906
Red block "P" added to road grey pocket.
1907
Red tuscan "P" on both pockets. Road cap is white.
1908-09
"PBC" for Pittsburgh Ball Club on sleeve. Home cap white, road blue. Pockets dropped.
1910
Collar flaps dropped. Solid blue front plackets. Pockets on home shirts. White home cap, grey road.
1911
Red "P" added to front pockets.
1912
Pinstriped jerseys and caps with "PIRATES" down the placket.
1913-14
Pinstriped jerseys with a "P" on each collar flap. Solid blue placket on road shirt. Home cap white, road blue.
Home jersey might have been worn on the road in 1914, or a grey version used.
1915-19
Red "P" on left chest pocket. Blue cap.
1920
"P" changed to block and is red on home, navy on road pockets. White pinstriped caps.
1921
Pockets gone, placket piping added, large block "P" on both jerseys. Caps are blue.
1922
"P" changed to Old English. Placket piping dropped.
There are two logo versions. Here's the first. Most collars are blue but looks to me that some aren't.
HOF database shows a blue collar, yet as seen in the home jerseys above, looks like some collars were not blue.
And here's the other logo style.
1923-24
"P" logo now black and on both sleeves. Placket piping added, blue collar dropped.
1925
NL Golden Jubilee patch is worn on the left sleeve in place of the "P". For the 1925 World Series, a new home jersey has the "P" on both sleeves with the anniversary patch on the chest.

Same as 1923-24.
1932
Blue block P on left chest. Placket piping dropped.
1933-35
Home jersey has tuscan style "P" on left front and red/blue placket piping. "PIRATES" in tuscan on road jerseys. Numbers added on backs.

Home jersey modified to match the road shirt. Placket piping dropped, "PIRATES" on the front in red with blue trim.

1938
Pirates in cursive. Jersey have both short sleeves and long. Home jersey has only one sleeve stripe. Collars are dropped. The regular season set has one button above the script. A second set with two buttons above the script is ordered for the 1938 World Series, but in an epic collapse, the team fails to make it.

1939
This might be the 1938 "World Series" jersey that wasn'r used, and carried over to 1939. Note the home jersey has the second sleeve stripe added.

The team switches to zippered jerseys during the 1939 season.

1940-41
Pirate's head is now on the left front. Per the HOF database, the home cap logo and band at the crown base is red, the road cap's is gold.
In 1941 both caps get red visors. The home cap has a red band and red "P", the road cap has a white band and white "P".
1942-46
Block style "PIRATES" on home jersey, "PITTSBURGH" on road. Cap changes to blue with gold P.

1947
In a one year style red is dropped. "Pirates" appears in cursive on home jerseys, "Pittsburgh" on road jerseys. Buttons return. "P" cap logo is redesigned and is white.
1948-53
The black and gold colorway appears.
