Los Angeles / California Angels Uniform History 1961-1996

This team should probably just call itself Angels. Following the move of the NL Dodgers and Giants to the west coast in 1958, MLB expanded to put an AL team in Los Angeles in 1961.

Last season for flannels brings a new look. The HOF Database is wrong here, it shows the road jersey having red with navy trim lettering instead of navy with red trim. Unique one-year cap style.

The Angels debut double knit poly jerseys. In a one year style jerseys remain button-down. Road script switches to red, trimmed in white. Cap logo is changed.
