1993-98

The last holdout to drop pullovers for button-downs, Reds owner Marge Schott wanted jerseys and a cap reminiscent of the team's style of her 1950's youth, so the Reds go to pinstripes featuring a sleeveless vest home jersey, red undershirt, and white pinstriped cap.

This retail jersey is exactly the same as the on-field one except for the neck tag.

In 1994 the Reds wear a patch celebrating the 1869 team for the MLB 125th anniversary.

In addition to the patch, the 1997 road jersey had shorter sleeves to honor Jackie Robinson.

1999

The Reds follow the black trend. Road jersey becomes a grey vest worn with a black undershirt and black/red cap and a Mr. Red patch on the left undershirt sleeve. Black/red cap is also worn as a home alternate, and the all-red cap gets a drop shadow and is the Sunday home alternate.
